This article is about the teaching of business English. From a personal point of view, it is always my favorite genre of English language instruction. My experience is in Madrid, Spain, but this advice covers most countries in 'Teaching Business English.

What are you teaching?
The first thing to remember is that you can learn English in a business context, not in business English teaching. Many of the filmmakers, I learned to talk about how they think it's condescending college, studying to enter the his office and began to learn to give a presentation! They know how to make a presentation, they need help with the tone andterminology in English – Make sure that the class is never condescending. Many of the textbooks of education are falling into this trap, so be sure to adjust the class to your hearing.
On the other hand, even with limited experience in the business world, means that I am a good teacher that every student who needs business English can be. If you finance the teaching of English, for example, most of the help they need English, you already know, all the restThere are specialist books and dictionaries. Do not get me wrong, there are always students who need people with specialist knowledge and skills, but it is not the exception to the rule. When I was taught at the Banco de España (the Spanish Central Bank), I knew very little about the economy and my English is very honest about my students. They had no problem with it, as they help with e-mail, presentations, chat, grammar, etc. They needed already knew that their financesterminology, but should help to put everything together so it sounded right to recipients.
Time
Business English classes tend to satisfy in the ebb and flow of office hours. The classes are usually the early morning 9.30 or 7-9, 1-4 afternoon and evening, 7-9. The older students, greater flexibility they have with their program, but it is a double-edged, as they too busy living, constant meetings and travel often, which means that themore classes canceled. I once had a student, I learned that only 21 hours in an entire school year! Fortunately, his secretary was very friendly with an endless supply of croissants.
If you have one now received directly by a company or through an educational organization, you know that the cancellation policy. And though it may seem attractive to a lot of managers who are students, are more prone to one-2-one classes, and as mentioned above,above-average churn. In Madrid, many organizations now have a 80-85% cancellation policy, which means that you pay 80-85% of the classes, no matter how you undo. If you are not a lot of A-2-one class, it is very important to verify this in the contract to ensure you can still have a decent life in spite of what happens in business students' living to serve.
Resources
When teaching English, the Internet is the newbest friend. If your client works for a bank to ensure that you see on their website and the sites of their competitors. Do a search and discovered that the articles are written on it, so you can use as reading material in class. Check out financial reports for the BBC, which you can download for your iPod. YouTube is an excellent resource for the video for meetings, presentations and debates (for both right and wrong way to do it!).
When you return toyour house or have friends and relatives visit, we are collecting all the pamphlets, as they can. Junk mail is the resource of a man of another man teaching!
The text-book industry has really accelerated in recent years, and there are a number of books suitable for most young people to older workers. Several influential newspapers and magazines (Financial Times, The Economist, etc.) for publishers to produce a text of a few large companiesbooks with the actual articles, interviews and up to date news. Be sure to make a proper needs analysis with your students to see what they need before choosing a textbook.
Finally, keep safe and quiet. Students need to feel that you are in control and know what to do. Read about what is taught in the evening before and the floor. Fix a complete analysis of needs and level test and will always remain one step ahead.
