ESL students often need guidance on how to improve their reading skills. Unlike speaking and listening, reading skills are something that a student can do alone is a skill that may soon be better. Here are some tips:
First Try not to have read every word to understand. The reading is exposed to new language, but not a "vocabulary" of activity. Focus on developing reading skills – understanding of the key ideas in the text and search for keyinformation.
According If you have a short text to read – as an article – the first step is the full text to read your thoughts are linked to information. Then read the article again, but slowly, to improve further information. Always read as part of a reading test.
When you have a third word you do not know, read the information "around" the word and then read the sentences before and after it. They hint that the word maymean.For example:
"I like to watch movies go, I really liked the last one was in the Blue Bill is a great dbyntillthy .. My favorite in fact!"
Dbyntillthy which means you do not know ', but when you read the word you can think of, it is likely that the plaintiff (dbyntillthy is not a real word, of course!).
Fourth Use a dictionary to see only the keywords (eg nouns and verbs you need to understand the message). Do not try every word – it stops the flow ofthinking.
Fifth Reading books written for children or adolescents (depending on your level in English). The English language and grammar is simple, the concepts are easier to understand.
The sixth reading the newspaper can be difficult. The structure of language is different and the concept is expanded. Some papers were written for academic readers, while others are written for the general public. Learn English online newspaper written by lesseducated English-speaking – will be much easier to read! For example, in Australia, the Australian is more sophisticated than the Daily Telegraph. England tried to Daily Mail, and Canada, the Toronto Star.
